surgery of profunda femoris artery in chronic ischemia of lower limbs

ABSTRACT

36 patients resented with chronic ischemia of-lower limbs, some of them suffered aortoiliac and superficial femoral arterial lesions, others suffered only superficial formoral artery occlusionsl Different revascularization procedures were carried out towards t he profundafemoris artery, 10 aortofemoral bypass grafts, two iliofemoral grafts, six femorofemoral bypass, two axilo-femoral and 16 profundoplasty with or withot thrombendarterectomy [TEA] of the profundafemoris artery. An angiographic assessment were done for all the patients both pre and post-operatively.
