ABSTRACT
Differential scanning calorimetry [DSC] was used to investigate the physico-chemical compatibility between Fluvoxamine maleate, Mebeverine hydrochloride and a number of commonly used tablet and capsule excipients. Interactions of Mebeverine hydrochloride with stearic acid lactose, sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, corn starch were found. Mebeverine hyrochloride was found to be compatible with Avicel pH 101, sta-Rx-1500, Elcema G250, sterotex, pvp, and Magnesium stearate. Fluoxamine maleate was found compatible with starch, sta-Rx 1500, PVP, Elcema, sterotex and Avicel. Interactions of Fluvoxamine maleate with stearic acid, magnesium stearate, lactose and sodium carboxy methyl cellulose were demonstrated
