Adsorption and release characteristics of papaverine hydrochloride

ABSTRACT
The adsorption studies of the antispasmodic, papaverine hydrochloride, by six different adsorbing agents were performed in aqueous solution at pH 4 and 25C. The adsorption data were found to follow the Langmuir equation. The effect of the tested additives on the adsorption of papaverine hydrochloride can be arranged in the following descending order kaolin > veegum > magnesium trisilicate > aerosol > aluminium hydroxide > talc
