[Contact dermatitis among self-employed workers in Baghdad city]

ABSTRACT
Among 10761 self-employed workers, the rate of contact dermatitis is 10.4%. The highest percentages of contact dermatitis were reported among blacksmiths [18.1%], painters [14.5%] and electricians [12.2%], while the lowest% was found among mechanics [5.8%]. Iraqi workers have had higher rate of contact dermatitis [10.8%] compared to arab workers [9.4%]. The rate of contact dermatitis among three age groups, less than 18 years,19-39 years and more than 39 years were 10.9%, 9.8% and 15.4% respectively. Upper limbs were found to be most affected part of the body [49.0%] while lower limbs were the least affected part [8.9%]
