ABSTRACT
The induced callus of convolvulus arvensis [L.] was found to have low growth rate. The exogenous growth regulators had a pronounced effect on the callus growth. The cellular composition of the induced callus was found to be normal parenchyma and few vessel segments. Coumarins [umbelliferone and scopolotin] and sterols [mainly B-sitosterol] were found to be the main accumulated secondary metabolites
