ABSTRACT
In the present work, the use of placental membranes for ureteric reconstruction, was assessed. Ten adult dogs were divided into two groups, five in each. Group I was subjected to partial replacement of ureteric wall using a patch of placental membranes. Group II was subjected for total replacement of a ureteric segment using a tube fashioned from a placental membranes. Postoperative intravenous urography was satisfactory in group I. Histopathological examination showed evidence of regeneration of lining epithelium and encircling ureteric muscles along the placental patch in group I. However, unsatisfactory results were obtained from group II
