ABSTRACT
What coleoptile section bioassay test and lettuce hypocotyl bioassay test of chromatograms [in one solvent system and two solvent systems respectively] were used for hormonal analysis of extracts of bean [Vicia faba L. cv. Giza 2] seedlings produced after 2-weeks, 4-weeks or 6-weeks seed treatment at 5 degree +/- 1.0 degree and compared with those of seedlings raised at room temperature [about 25 degree]. The treatments caused decrease in the auxins content and increase in the GA-like substances content, the differences were directly proportional to the length of the treatment period. Four and six-weeks periods of treatment greatly increased the amount of ABA in the extracts of the seedlings
