ABSTRACT
The reaction of metal ions with tetradentate Schiff's base has been widely studied during the last few years. The reactions of In [III] isoproxide with bidentate and some tridentate Schiff's bases have been carried out in 11, 12, and 23 molar ratio in dry benzene under anhydrous conditions [1-3]. The Schiff's bases N-salicylidene-2-bydroxyaniline, 2-hydroxy aniline-N-3- methoxyslicylidene,2-hydroxyaniline-N-5-met-koxysalicylidene, and N-salicyli-dene-2-hydroxy-4-methoxyaniline were prepared[4] and the fluorescent characteristics of their Al, Ga and Be complexes were studied [5] The present investigation is concerned with the preparation and characterization of Al [III], In [III], and Ga [III] chelates with some -N[2] O[2]-Schiff's bases
