ABSTRACT
The effects of three energy densities of CO2 laser on solid state characterization of gallbladder stones are investigated. The macrostructure of the stones is studied using X-ray diffraction [XRD] analysis and infrared [IR] technique. The results indicated that lasing produced remarkable changes in the crystalline structure which are proportional to the laser energy density. Moreover, data of IR technique showed variation in the optical density without changing band positions. These observed results of infrared is complemented with X-ray diffraction data
