Snoring

ABSTRACT

Results of several surveys have provided confirmation that snoring is not only on overall sleep preventer, but is mainly an unrecognized asphixia. Have shown that this chronic noctural hypoxia, with the snoring as such, the essential feature of a well individualized new chronic rhonchopathy. This affection is composed of different clinical aspects of several syndromes, notably sleep apnea syndromes. Surgical treatments form part of therapeutic strategy which includes medical treatment, essentially reduction is body weight, continuous positive pressure respiration. First intention surgery is an uvulopalatopharyngoplasty [UPPP] with or without tonsillectomy
