ABSTRACT
This study included [in a cross sectional manner] 112 patients diagnosed as having hydatidiform mole and were admitted to Kasr El- Eini University Hospital. Results of the study showed a remarkably increased incidence of recurrence [16.1%]. A significant correlation has been demonstrated between the age of the patient and the recurrence of the pathology with steady tendency to attack younger patients [55% of recurrent cases]. It was observed that previous abortion occurred in [66.7%] of cases of recurrent moles. Malignant transformation was observed in [5.33%] of cases, from these 50% were detected between 20-30 years of age. The study highlights the increased tendency of recurrence of hydatidiform mole in between this group of patients which probably represents low socio-economic class of Egyptian community, also it points out to the importance of follow up of patients with previous hydatidiform mole, especially in younger age group
