Bioavailability and disposition kinetics of erythromycin following oral administration in normal and febrile rabbits

ABSTRACT

Biovailability and disposition kinetics of erythromycin were determined in normal and febrile rabbits following oral [suspension] administration of 10mg/kg dose. The drug concentration, bioavailability and disposition kinetics of orally given erthromycin were not changed by endotoxin induced fever. The route of the drug administration is an important consideration while instituting therapy in the febrile patients
