Lemnian tablets of Turkish period bearing names of Chinese alchemical drugs

ABSTRACT

Lemnian tablets of red clay continued to be prepared when Lemnos came under Turkish rule. Now the tablets were stamped with Arabic characters but the names of drugs were of Chinese alchemical preparations. The original seals are reproduced in fig. 1 and their possible renderings in fig 2
