Immunosuppression with azathioprine and prednisolone in recent-onset insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus

ABSTRACT

Fifteen patients [mean age 8.5 years range 4 to 12] with newly diagnosed insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus were randomly selected for this study. The patients were admitted within eight weeks of the beginning of their symptoms.
