ABSTRACT
The main objective of this study is to assess nurses job satisfaction based on the value and availability of certain work factors. Study subjects were 373 staff nurses selected from 6 different hospitals. Tools of data collection were questionnaire and rating scale. Findings of the study revealed an evidence of overall low level of job satisfaction. The rural areas were however better than the urban in terms of current level of job satisfaction among respondents. Job redesign is suggested as a mean for upgrading job satisfaction level in the studied hospitals
