ABSTRACT
Fasting plasma lipids level have been estimated in 30 subjects including 15 normal persons [group I], 15 cases of maturity onset diabetes [group II]. To each subject, five moms propranoolol were given I.V. very slowly over 5-7 minutes. After one and two hours, plasma lipids level [FFA; Trigycerides; total cholesterol and lipoproteins] were estimated. The plasma FFA level of the normals and diabetics were significantly decreased after propranolol administration. The triglycerides and total cholesterol level of the normals and diabetics were significantly decreased after two hours only from propranolol administration. The plasma lipoproteins level of normal's and diabetics were insignificantly decreased after propranolol administration
