A female patient of 80 years old presented in the consultant room in Saddam Teaching Hospital/Najaf, on 23rd August 1993,complaining from hemoptysis of one month duration. Examination of throat revealed that a leech was fixed in oropharynx of the patient on the vallecula. Then the leech was removed out by a surgical
