ABSTRACT
Clarias lazera was exposed to 75 mg/l sodium fluoride for 3 weeks. Blood and serum samples were collected weekly and subjected to haematological and biochemical examination. Muscle samples were also taken during the exposure period and during withdrawal of NaF for 2 weeks. PT and APTT showed significant increase in their values while platelet count was within the normal limits. Total protein, albumin and urea values were markedly increased while ALT, globulin and creatinine showed insignificant changes. Fluorine ion concentration ranged from 5.719 +/- 0.239 to 6.129 +/- 0.339 ppm in the exposure phase the decreased to be 5.631 +/- 0.135 ppm at the end of withdrawal phase
