Xeroderma pigmentosum: report of 6 cases from two families

ABSTRACT

This is a report of six cases of xeroderma pigmentosum from two families. Four patients are from the first family, one of whom has died and three are alive, and the other family contains two affected cases, one boy and his aunt. Although basal cell carcinoma is usually the earliest malignancy that appears in the skin of these patients[5,6] in one case squamous cell carcinoma of the cornea happened to be the first malignant presentation.
