Hyperuricaemia study in Iraqi men

ABSTRACT
A survey of 200 men of working age, revealed asymptomatic hyperuricaemia in 20 men [10%]. Those with hyperuricaemia showed more body weight, no association with family history of arthritis but more association with alcohol ingestion and elevated blood pressure. Hyperuri-caemia showed no association with blood urea level and serum creatinine but more with the 24 hour urinary uric acid excretion
