ABSTRACT
The pathogenesis of amyloidosis remains unclear. The ultrastructural and biochemical studies show that the different types of amyloidosis are generally correlated with the primitive or secondary pattern of the disease. Pathological study, using different special staining, especially the Wright technique, confirms the diagnosis of amyloidosis and may establish its primitive or secondary pattern. The authors remain about the role of the pathologic study, using, conventional staining or immunohistochemical methods, in the positive and aetiologic diagnosis of amyloidosis
