ABSTRACT
Two chemically synthesized piperidinium derivatives 1-methyl-1 [4-fluro] phenacy1, 4-hydoxy piperidinium bromide and 1-methyl-1 [3-methoxy] phenacy1 4-hydroxy piperidinium bromide were evaluated for their analgesic activity, in intact albino mice employing tail immersion methods. Both the compounds were administered orally in the doses of 50 mg/kg. The results recorded were compared with pethidine 50 mg/kg, the reference drug. The control animal received only the vehicle orally. Results showed that both the derivatives exhibit a highly significant analgesic activity
