ABSTRACT
This study was carried out on 50 subjects divided into three groups Group I, 20 patients with uncontrolled insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus [IDDM], group II, 20 patients with controlled insulin- dependent diabetes mellitus, group III, 10 healthy non- smoker volunteers [control group]. All studied groups were subjected to bronchoalveolar lavage with differential cell count determination of the lavage fluid and monoclonal antibodies for detection of T- lymphocyte subpopulation in bronchoalveolar lavage and blood. The results were discussed
