ABSTRACT
This retrospective review covers 24 cases of elbow stiffness treated by arthrolysis. The average age was 24.5 years. Fifty nine per cent had a head trauma and stayed in resuscitation. In 70.8% the range of motion was reduced on flexion; 58.3% were severe to very severe cases. For 58% the range of movement was -30 extension up to 130 = flexion, intra-operatively; for 45% it was a long term result. The results of the surgical arthrolysis for elbow stiffness and its maintenance in the time, in function of the different susceptible carriers of them influence was studied
