ABSTRACT
Carbon fibers implantation was performed in 21 experimental animals. Results were generally satisfactory in all operated animals. Lameness disappeared after 2-3 months, although the operated tendons were still thickened and did not return to their normal condition, in general. The normal angiographical picture was described. The postoperation indicated increased vascularity in all cases. Histopathological examination revealed that the regeneration of the affected tendon fasciculi was parallel to the apparently normal tendon fibers and possessed the same cytological structure of normal tendon. So, this method could be considered to the efficient for encouraging tendon healing
