ABSTRACT
The reliability and validity of any test related to clinical pathology is the key parameter for its integrity. This can be monitored by using control samples having known values of the particular analyte, and determining the precision in reproducibility of these samples. The quality control programme used in our laboratory is discussed, through which extra costs involved in purchasing control samples have been cut without compromising upon the integrity of the
