ABSTRACT
Twenty patients with exclusion criteria for common risk factors for acute myocardial infarction [AMI] were selected for this study in addition to 20 healthy volunteer subjects matched for age and sex and had no risk factors for AMI or a past history of anginal pain or strokes or a family history of previous thromboembolic events. The study concluded that six patients in the study group showed high to moderate positive IgG-ACLA test in comparison with three subjects in the control group. The presence of ACLA in the early stage of AMI and its persistence one week after suggested its contribution in the pathogenesis of AMI rather than being a result of its occurrence
