ABSTRACT

Diffuse angiodysplasia of the small intestine is an infrequent but not unusual disease. It, often gives a melena, which constitutes an etiological problem. Negative results of habitual investigations [endoscopy, barium transit x-ray of the small intestine] is not sufficient to absolve the intestine. Upper mesenteric arteriography is the fundamental paraclinical examination. Exploratory laparotomy, often constitutes last recourse.
