ABSTRACT
The present study was conducted to determine the effect of some anthelmintics namely- Cydectin,Toloxan plus and Toloxan on the control of Haemonchus contortus in infected sheep.Twenty four Lambs were experimentally infected with 200L3H. contortus / k g body weight. After appearing eggs in the feces, all animals were allocated into 4 equal groups. Each group included 6 animals. Three groups [1,2 and 3] were treated with Cydectin,Toloxan plus and Toloxan respectively and the fourth group left untreated as a control. Results of this study indicated that the anthelmintics were reduced infection rate and control the level of the abomasal nematode H. contortus. The efficiency of anthelmintics was first indicated by a reduction in fecal egg count [e.p.g.] Rising pcv% of treated animals and in addition to increase the cumulative body weight of treated animals. The result was revealed that H. contortus was sensitive to all anthelmintics used in this study
