The authors report their experience with the use of otoendoscope in the reconstruction of the tympanic membrane. Studyed

Case review study Methods Charts were reviewed for all patients who underwent endoscopic transcanal tympanoplasty between November 2002 and November 2004. Autograft temporalis fascia was used in all cases. There were 24 patients with uncomplicated central perforation. Success was defined as complete graft taking and hearing improvement. Results graft taking success rate was 87.5% and hearing improvement was achieved in all, except one who had developed serous otitis media and required a myringotomy tube in the postoperative period
