ABSTRACT
The effect of two immunosuppressive drugs [Hydrocortisone and Methotrexate] has been studied on egg-laying and extrusion, in mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni. The drugs were administered at the stage of worm maturation. An increase in worm load, as well as an increase in the granulomata formation was noticed although a decrease in egg extrusion occurred without any effect on the total number of egg laid
