Maintaining anchorage in orthodontics has been a challenge for the orthodontists for centuries. In the recent past several different appliances have been introduced, which are claimed to be the replacement of extra-oral anchorage appliances. But time has shown that they all have failed to provide the anchorage needs. Currently micro implants have been introduced for use in orthodontics.
