ABSTRACT
Activities of daily living [ADLs] are basic tasks of everyday life. When people are unable to perform these activities, they need help either from other human beings or mechanical devices or both for coping. Although persons of all ages may have problems in performing ADLs, disabilities are much higher in the elderly than others. Planning for health centers should be based on the needs of people. Measurement of activities of daily living is critical because they have been found to be significant predictors of society needs. In this article, some instruments of ADLs have been reviewed and discussed. Then, the [Independency Scale of Activities of Daily Living] [ISADL] with a new design has been presented
