ABSTRACT
Medical ethics is a branch of professional ethics that deals with ethical issues in the field of medical practice. Historical evidence shows that even prehistoric healers were bound by a common set of ethical principles. The history of medicine in Iran dates back to many centuries ago, so, the ethical concept in practice of medicine in Iran has a long history too. The distinguished Iranian physicians such as Ahwazi, Razi, Ibn-Sina and Jorjani wrote treatises on the ethical qualities of physicians. In addition, there are various implications related to medical ethics in old literary and medical works in Iran
