Trial of stopping thumb sucking reflecting the parents worry about their infants and children, but using a covered nylon fixing with an elastic band to both thumbs represents unusual and not reported method as in the present case, ending with gangrene and amputation of both thumbs at the level of metacarpophalengeal joints
