Neutrophils were found significant when 500 larvae and 50 adults of Rhipicephalus appendiculatus were infested on the rabbit, when 10 nymphs were applied to guineapigs the lymphocytes were significant at 144 hours in guinea pigs. It is concluded that intense infiltration of neutrophils is similar to Arthus and Schwartzman reaction in rabbits, lymphocyte infiltration in guineapigs in similar to that associated with delayed allergy in skin
