Acute haematogenous osteomyelitis and ABO blood groups and secretor status

ABSTRACT
An association between the incidence of AHO and ABO blood groups was established. The secretory junction of the saliva had no such correlation. AHO is more common among children of blood Group O and, to a lesser extent, Group A. Although it was found to occur more commonly among secretors than non-secretors, the difference from a control group was not statistically significant. At present this possibility can only be taken as a tentatative suggestion for further research in this field
