ABSTRACT
The authors report two cases of mycotic endocarditis, one on a prothetic valve, and the other on a native one. Of course we don't pretend drawing statistial conclusions considering the very few number of cases; but on diagnosing the second case in our department, we try to assess this affection. The candidoes are the most frequent involved fungus. The diagnosis is often labourious and delayed the diagnostic roamings are fr‚quent and implicate prescriptions which are sometimes aggravating. The clinical picture is generally similar to the common one. The same diagnosing-like may come up, to which proprer difficulties are added. The favorable ground for the mycotic infestation, the embolism of the big arterial truncks, the culture of a bit of the embolectomy, other mycotic localisations, the no-response to a wide spectrum antibiotherapy must draw our attention. The cultures in Sabouroud medium and the candidasic reactions must be much more used. The treatment is triple Preventive, medical and surgical. The latter is no more controversial. The healing time-proof, is difficult to affirm and a prolonged observation is necessary
