ABSTRACT
Neuroblastoma arise from the embryonic neural crest. Estimation of the amounts of urinary catecholamines is of value in diagnosis and also in assessing the effects of treatment. Total excision of the primary tumor remain the treatment of choice. It is usually possible in stage I and stage II cases. Incomplete resection for stage Ill cases may be followed by radiotherapy and cytoxic drugs. Combined chemotherapy is also indicated in stage IV tumors where disease is widespread. Stage IV S tumors with involvement of liver can be treated expectantly
