ABSTRACT
The growth characteristics of three important medicinal plants of Thar desert, viz. Asparagus racemosus, Eclipta alba and Solanum surattense have been studied under different sowing depths and soil mixture ratios. Sowing depth of 1.0 cm and 111 soil mixture ratio [sand clay FYM] shows highest tuber yield in A. racemosus. However, sowing depth of 0.5 cm was suitable for both E. alba and S. surattense. The growth parameters were maximum in soil mixtures of 111 and 221 for E. alba and S. surattense, respectively
