Mesotelioma fibroso localizado of the hypoglicemia and pleura

ABSTRACT

The case of a 67 year-old woman who presented with fasting hypoglycemia which proved to be secondary to a pleural fibrous mesothelioma a is reported. The incidence, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of fibrous mesothelioma and of tumor hypoglycemia are reviewed. Although mesothelioma induced hypoglycemia is a well known disease, this is the first case in the colombian literature
