ABSTRACT

According to our results obtained in the present paper, we can conclude that: 1 - In group A, the formation of bacterial plaque is observed on the external and internal surfaces of the orthodontic band; 2 - The bacterial plaque is made up of microrganisms in the form of cocci, short and long rods and an organic matrix; 3 - In group B, the Profident System proves to be efficient in the removal of bacterial plaque and cleansing of the orthodontic band metalic surface
