RESUMEN
Se estudió la supervivencia de anticuerpos contra el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana(VIH) tipos 1 y 2. en 1 615 muestras de suero de pacientes cobn trastornos hematológicos y del sistema inmune, atendidos en el Instituto de Hematología e Inmunología de La Habana. De ellos, 2 pacientes (0,12%) resultaron positivos, y 2 resultaron indeterminados(0,12%) al virus tipo 1, mientras que no se observó positividad al tipo 2. Todos los pacientes seropositivos e indeterminados habían recibido hemoterapia antesde 1986, año en que se inició en Cuba el pesquisaje masivo de los donantes de sangre voluntarios
