Se exponen brevemente las múltiples aplicaciones y ventajas que ha tenido el sistema ultramicroanálitico en el serodiagnóstico de diferentes enfermedades producidas por virus, bacterias y parásitos. Se relacionan también las perspectivas de la utilización de la tecnología, no sólo para el serodiagnóstico sino además para la detección de los antígenos microbianos propiamente dichos
