O autor apresenta uma revisao da literatura referente à ablaçao histeroscópica do endométrio, técnica cirúrgica que tem substituído a histerectomia no tratamento de pacientes que apresentam metrorragias resistentes ao tratamento hormonal, especialmente na peri ou pós-menopausa em que sao excluídas patologias malignas.
