RESUMO

In a group of 337 patients with a history of thrombotic episodes, pregnancy losses and/or thombocytopenia, 66 cases of lupus anticoagulant (LA) were found. Spontaneous platelet aggregation and the aggregatory responses of platelet rich plasmas (PRP) from 14 patients, with a history of thrombotic episodes, with anticardiolipin (ACA) levels above 21 IgGantiphospholipid antibodies units and normal platelet counts were studied and compared with those of 8 patients with history of thrombosis and negative LA and ACA (controls).
