RESUMEN
The growth of the area base was studied in 30 Brazilian human fetuses ranging between 9th to 43th weeks post-conception. The data were correlated with fetal parameters of growth (age, fetal weight and crown-rump lenght) by using the allometric method (log y = b log x+a). The results demonstrated that growth of the base is allometric positive in relation to age and or, and isometric with fetal weight
