A coproscopic inquiry employing Baerman-Moraes, Kato-Katz and Lutz coprologic methods was carried out in the municipality of Caaporä,Paraíba, Brazil.A high level of intestinal parasites was found. A prevalence of65 por cento and a high load of ascariasis(>10,000 eggs of ascaris/g of faeces) is discussed
