ABSTRACT
The role and benefits of the Innominate osteotomy are worldwide accepted in the treatment of C.D.H. A retrospective review of 58 hips operated: in 41 patientes perfomed by the author at a University Teaching Hospital was undertaken to know our results and compare by those published by Salter and other authors. Besides that wanted to outline the epidemiologic characteristics of our patients. Almost 80.5 por cent were female and average age at first visit was 2 year and 2 months 80.5 por cent came from Bogotá and the others from rural areas. Only 41.5 por cent of the patientes were excelent or good in 73 pr cent. Radriographic results, over all locking center-edge and acetabular index, were satisfactories in 68.2 por cent. We present also the incidence of post-operative traction and the use of Petrie cast. In the final results in general we are satisfied with our results but suggest that surgical treatment of C.D.H. in the child
