RESUMO
Visando medir a força de contração dos músculos abdutores do polegar e do quinto dedo foi desenvolvido um transdutor do tipo resistivo ("strain gauge"), fixado a um "splint" e conectado a um microcomputador. Este deverá registrar as forças durante contrações isométricas máximas, permitindo avaliações periódicas de pacientes portadores de lesão nervosa.

Abstraet The prototype of a device for measuring the strength of the abductor muscules of both the thumb and fifth finner was developed. Composed of a resistive type transducer (strain gauge) fixed onto a splint and conected to a microcomputer. it will register the strength during maximal isometric contractions, allowing for periodic evaluations of pacients with nerve injuries
